Selling on Goldpickers with Stripe
At Goldpickers, we're always looking for ways to enhance your experience, and one of our upcoming features is the ability to sell your treasures on our platform. We understand that many of our users are eager to start selling, and we're excited to announce that this feature is LIVE!
* Please read the following terms carefully before becoming a seller on the Goldpickers Platform.
Stripe Connect Merchant Platform Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to your use of the Stripe Connect Merchant Platform ("Platform") to conduct business transactions. The Platform is designed for businesses that are organized in, operating in, or residents of the United States or its territories. By using the Platform, you agree to comply with these Terms, which may be updated periodically.
Eligibility and Account Requirements
To use the Goldpickers Platform, you must:
Use your business or company name for your Stripe Connect account.
Provide a physical US postal address (PO boxes alone are not accepted).
Have a registered US bank account.
Provide necessary identifying information:
For sole proprietorships: name, physical address, date of birth, and taxpayer identification number.
For other business entities: business name, address, taxpayer identification number, and proof of business existence (e.g., Secretary of State filing, state license, or Articles of Incorporation).
Supply the names and addresses of individuals authorized to access your account.
Provide information related to your inventory and business practices, including banking details and other relevant data.
By opening a Stripe Connect account, you certify that it is used primarily for business or commercial purposes. You are responsible for meeting all tax-related obligations. Stripe will collect and remit any applicable sales tax on your behalf, which will be displayed separately to buyers and included in the total payment.
Account Usage and Financial Transactions
A balance can be maintained in your account, used for purchases, or transferred to a linked bank account or debit card via InstantPay.
Your balance may also be used to cover payments owed to Stripe, such as refunds or chargebacks. You agree to indemnify Stripe for all claims, expenses, fines, and liabilities arising from:
Chargebacks, refunds, overpayments, payment errors, or other invalid payments ("Invalidated Payments").
Errors, negligence, misconduct, or fraud by you or your representatives.
Losses from failing to comply with these Terms.
Security and Compliance
If your account experiences high volumes of chargebacks and refunds, you may be required to maintain a security reserve.
Business accounts may be subject to different fees than personal accounts. You will be notified 30 days in advance of any fee changes.
Approval and Responsibilities
Upon approval to operate your Stripe Connect account, the following conditions apply:
You must comply with all other terms and conditions in Stripe's Terms of Service, including Prohibited Items and Conduct policies.
You are responsible for ensuring your inventory meets authenticity standards and handling chargebacks, returns, and refunds. Stripe does not indemnify you against subsequent claims.
Approved items may be promoted with a Pro Seller icon.
Your account, inventory, licenses, and policies are subject to periodic review.
You may be invited to participate in feature testing and promotions specific to approved businesses.
From time to time, you may receive tools and features to help manage your inventory.
By participating in the Stripe Connect Merchant Platform, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms as of the date accepted.
